VERY VERY BERRY by Anna Scott

Introduction to Crewel Embroidery
*   Level 1   *
Very, Very Berry

This is an ideal project if you are new to crewel embroidery.

Crewel embroidery is a fabulous technique if you enjoy learning new stitches and using a wide variety of stitches and techniques to create patterns and textures.

The VERY, VERY BERRY bird is embroidered with crewel wool onto quality Italian linen using a variety of common embroidery stitches and crewel work techniques to create the patterns and textures on the cheeky bird and berries.

VERY, VERY BERRY is designed specifically with stitchers who are new to crewel embroidery in mind.
The embroidery is worked using mostly common embroidery stitches, but also introduces stitches and techniques that are a little more complex or unique to crewel embroidery.

The finished design measures 14cm x 20cm wide (5 1/2” x 8”).

In this short (3 week) course you will learn how create textures and fillings using common stitches and simple crewel work techniques. No prior experience in crewel embroidery is needed but knowledge of basic embroidery stitches is an advantage.

The kit include:
Detailed Instruction booklet with colour photographs & diagrams.
Quality linen with the embroidery design marked, ready to stitch
10 shades of crewel wool
Needle

What to Bring:
20 cm (8″) embroidery hoop, inner ring bound
Embroidery scissors

Date – 21st, 28th March & 4th April
Time –  1-4 pm over 3 weeks
Class  – $130
